Freight forwarders and shipping lines · Capacity, paperwork and tracking
Your carrier’s carrier in Costa Rica.
You answer to your customer. We provide the inspected unit, the verified driver, the customs transit and a tracking link you can forward to them.
What you get: the unit, the transit and the link
Your customer hired you. We are the road leg: the unit, the driver, the customs transit and the trip information. You answer with data, not guesses.
Containers on both coasts
Dry and refrigerated (reefer) containers between Moín and Limón, Caldera and the Central Valley: Greater San José area (GAM), Coyol, Alajuela, Heredia and Cartago. Also port–warehouse–port moves for inspection, and empty container pickup.
Regional dry van
From Costa Rica to Nicaragua, Honduras (Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula), El Salvador, Guatemala and Panama, with waybill (carta de porte) and customs transit (in-bond).
Customs transit under our own code
CR02343GoTruck is a licensed customs carrier for overland transport with Costa Rica’s Directorate General of Customs (DGA), code CR02343, domestic and international. Your customer’s cargo that has not cleared customs moves in-bond, under customs control.
The carrier’s documents
Waybill (carta de porte) with the customs seal numbers, and the transit documentation that falls to the carrier. Which document is needed and who issues it is in the documents guide: DUCA-T and waybill.
Own equipment and a verified network
Our own 3-axle chassis and gensets, plus a network of verified partner carriers. Owned or subcontracted, the same standard: a unit that does not pass the inspection does not load.
One provider
Container or dry van, dry or refrigerated, within Costa Rica or into Central America: you coordinate it with the same operations team, without splitting your shipments among several carriers. 24/7 operation.
What you pass on to your customer: a link, not an excuse
With every shipment you get a tracking link. It opens on a phone, with no username or password, and you can forward it to your customer. This is what it shows:
- Live map. The trip route and the truck’s latest position.
- Trip milestones. Arrived at, departed from: each point of the trip with its time.
- QR card. Driver, tractor and dry van with their current documents, to validate at the gate that the unit arriving is the one assigned.
- One map. Even when the unit belongs to a partner carrier, it shows in the same link.

- En routeLatest position updated on the map
- Delivery at the plantArrival milestone, with its time
Illustrative example: real data is visible only through the shipment’s link.
The link expires on its own. When the trip ends it stops showing the position. Anyone without the link cannot see the cargo.
The link opens GoTruck’s tracking platform. You decide whether to forward it as is or to pass the milestones on to your customer in your own format.
How a move runs: from request to delivery
- You send us the shipment
Port or loading address, destination, equipment, weight and dates. We reply with route and price.
- We assign a unit and a driver
Our own or from a verified partner carrier. Before the trip you receive the driver and unit details, and the tracking link.
- Inspection before loading
22-point checklist on the unit, driver verification and K9 inspection. A unit that does not pass does not load.
- Loading and customs seals
The customs seal numbers go on the waybill (carta de porte) and are checked at every stop and at delivery.
- Transit with monitoring
GPS and panic button, authorized routes and stops, 24-hour monitoring center. Status reports go out at the frequency agreed with each customer.
- Delivery
The customs seals are checked and the trip is closed. Customs seals and proof of delivery are kept in the trip file.
Security: no inspection, no route
Owned or subcontracted, the same standard. Security, in three lines:
- Before loading: 22-point inspection of the unit, driver verification (background, license, alcohol and drug test) and K9 inspection.
- On the road: GPS and panic button, authorized routes and stops, 24-hour monitoring center.
- If something happens: the driver reports within a maximum of five minutes and we tell you what happened, where the unit is and what comes next.
To quote fast: send us this
These are the six details we need to quote. Copy them into your request or send them on WhatsApp.
- Port or loading address. Terminal, yard, warehouse or plant, with its operating hours.
- Destination. Delivery address; for a regional dry van, city and country.
- Equipment. 20’, 40’ or 40’ High Cube container, reefer or dry van. For a reefer, the set point. Dimensions are in the guide to container types and dimensions.
- Gross weight. It determines the equipment and whether the load is within the legal road weight.
- Cleared or in-bond. If the cargo travels without clearing customs, it moves in customs transit.
- The dates that matter. For exports, the shipping line’s cut-off. For imports, the container’s last free day. With those, the unit is scheduled before detention and demurrage start to run.
Does your customer ask for insurance? Cargo insurance is arranged per shipment and quoted with the freight. Ask for it in your request.
Questions from forwarders
Do you invoice the forwarder or the consignee?
It is agreed with each customer before the first trip: in whose name the invoice is issued and the payment terms. If your company contracts the transport, the commercial relationship is with your company.
Can we get status reports for our customer?
Yes, in two ways. With every shipment you get a public tracking link, with the live map and the trip milestones with their times, which you can forward to your customer. In addition, the monitoring center sends status reports during transit, at the frequency we agree with your company.
Do you cover both coasts of Costa Rica?
Yes. We move dry and refrigerated (reefer) containers between Moín and Limón, on the Caribbean; Caldera, on the Pacific; and the Central Valley: Greater San José area (GAM), Coyol, Alajuela, Heredia and Cartago. We also handle port–warehouse–port moves for inspection, and empty container pickup.
Do partner carrier units meet the same standard?
Yes. Owned or subcontracted, the same standard: the same 22-point inspection, the same driver verification and the same K9 inspection. A unit that does not pass does not load, and the partner unit shows in the same tracking link.
Do you move reefer containers with a genset?
Yes: we move reefer containers and have our own gensets. State the set point and the shipping line’s cut-off in your request so we can schedule the unit. The regional reefer trailer is quoted on request.
What happens if there is an incident with our customer’s cargo?
The driver reports to the monitoring center within a maximum of five minutes and we notify you: what happened, where the unit is and what comes next. If the unit is out of service, we coordinate with your company how the trip continues. Customs seals and proof of delivery are kept in the trip file.
A shipment without a truck? Send it over.
Send us the port or loading address, destination, equipment and weight. We reply with route and price, and you answer your customer.
